Laureate of the Aram Khachaturian International Violin Competition, as well as the Zanuccoli competition in Italy, Pierre Frapier is establishing himself as a fine young musician.
Born in France, Pierre Frapier has been a pupil of Constantin Bogdanas, Rodika Bogdanas and Marc Danel. He attended masterclasses with Ivry Gitlis, Eduard Grach, Vadim Gluzman, Pinchas Zukerman, Silvia Marcovicci, Ani Schnarch and Maxim Vengerov.
A Concordia Foundation Artist, living now in the U.K, Pierre Frapier is an Artist Diploma graduate of the Royal College of Music, under the guidance of Prof. Itzhak Rashkovsky.
Pierre Frapier has performed as a soloist with, among others, the London City Orchestra, the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia and Moscovia Chamber Orchestra conducted by Maestro Eduard Grach. International appearances in recital or as a soloist with orchestra include Opéra Comédie de Montpellier, Théatre de Nancy, France; Kuhmo Arts Center, Finland; Teatro Braluz, Italy; Piotr Stoliarsky School Audtorium, Ukraine; Tchaikovsky Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Russia; Tel-Aviv Opera House, Israel; Studzinsky Hall, US; Yerevan Opera Theater, Armenia; Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall, National Musician's Church, New North London Synagogue and St Martin's in the Fields, Cadogan Hall and Wigmore Hall, UK.
Passionate about chamber music, Pierre Frapier is regulary invited at the prestigious Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival in Finland, playing alongside internationally reknown musicians such as Vladimir Mendelssohn, Yuval Gotlibovich, Hagai Shaham, Sergey Malov, Daniel Rowland, Hugo Ticciati, Marc Danel, Michel Lethiec, Marc Bouchkov and the Enesco Quartet.
Always wishing to widen his horizons and meet interesting characters he was asked to collaborate with actor Hugh Grant and film director Stephen Frears on the BBC/Blueprint production "A Very English Scandal" airing in 2018.
He teaches violin and chamber music at Royal College of Music and plays a rare violin by the Voller Brothers, made in London in 1894.
