What's on / Safety

Keeping you safe

Our autumn season performances and Museum visits are now ticketed at full capacity. We hope you enjoy your visit to the RCM.

View our frequently asked questions below to find out more.

Is it safe to attend a concert at the RCM?

The safety of our audiences and the RCM community is our main priority. Our ticketing measures are based on audience feedback, ensuring that you are able to support RCM musicians in the ways that you’d like to during our events season.

Events are now ticketed at full capacity in our performance spaces and Museum. We will continuously review all safety measures and have detailed risk assessments covering every aspect of health and safety. We also have enhanced cleaning in place.

What measures are in place at the RCM Museum?

Visits to the RCM Museum are now ticketed at full capacity. We encourage all visitors to wear a face mask for the duration of their visit and to complete a lateral flow test within 48 hours of their visit.

Will I need to wear a face covering?

We encourage all external visitors and audience members to wear a face mask for the duration of their visit.

Do I need to take a test before I visit the RCM?

We encourage all external visitors and audience members to complete a lateral flow test within 48 hours of a booked performance or visit.

Will I need to show proof of vaccination or immunity to gain access to the building?

The RCM does not require you to show proof of vaccination or immunity to attend a performance in the building or visit the Museum or café.

How will air be circulated around the RCM building?

We have increased ventilation around the building and venues either have natural ventilation (fresh air) or an air filtration system, which brings fresh air in without the need for open windows.

Will the toilets be in operation?

Yes.

If I book a ticket but then test positive for Covid-19 can I get a refund?

If you (or a member of your household or party) have experienced symptoms of coronavirus (symptoms of illness such as a cough, sore throat, or fever) or test positive for the virus and are due to attend the RCM soon, we ask you to stay at home. Please inform the Box Office and you will be entitled to an exchange or credit where possible, or an immediate refund.
